CARNIVAL OR MARDI GRAS- Celebrated on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. It's another eagerly awaited holiday where singing, dancing, and parades of elaborately decorated floats mark the occasion. People typically dress up or masquerade during the celebrations, which mark an overturning of daily life. You will enjoy the festivities and get into the culture right away. Celebrating Mardi Gras would make your trip to Venezuela really fun and more enjoyable.
ANGEL FALLS- Highest waterfalls in the world and are hiding deep within Venezuela’s Canaima National Park. The cataract drops 3,212 feet and is 500 feet wide at the base. It leaps from a flat-topped plateau. The best time to visit the Angel falls is well debated due to the fact that’s it well within the jungle. The rainy season can be almost impossible to see due to cloud cover and overflowing and the dry season can be disappointing with only a trickle coming down devil’s mountain. Angel Falls would be a great place to visit with amazing scenery.
ANDES MOUNTAIN- The states of Trujillo, Merida, and Tachira are surrounded by the Andes in Venezuela. The natural vegetation in this area consists mainly of heliconias, orchids, and bromeliads. Andes Mountain is such an ideal place for the adventure lovers. It is an ideal place for…

ISLA DE MARGARITA- Island in the Caribbean Sea and 12 mi north of the Península de Araya in northeastern Venezuela. Also known as the Isle of Pearls, Margarita is the largest of 70 islands comprising Nueva Esparta estado (state). The island carries farming and grazing and the pearl industry is still important; fishing, the building of fishing boats, tourism, and the manufacture of tile, ceramics, shoes, hats, and salt are additional sources of income. Margarita is about 40 mi long, covers an area of 414 sq mi, and has a coastline of 198 mi, with many natural harbours. It would be an beautiful place to visit.
SAND DUNES- Located at Los Medanos de Coro National Park. The dunes are just north of the small town called Coro which is an incredible place to see Spanish colonial architecture in its true form. The sand dunes are in constant movement as they are created by the trade winds coming from West. The Mesquite plant’s root systems catch retain massive quantities of sand stopping the flow of the wind. The dunes would be a fun site to visit with the cool patterns of landscape.
Food
AREPA: It is the most famous dish from Venezuela, and is a cornmeal cake that can be grilled, baked or fried. Unlike in neighbouring Colombia where it is normally eaten unadorned, here in Venezuela it is split open and filled with a variety of cheese and meats. Arepa is a basic part of the Venezuelan diet and is eaten in place of bread in most meals. We recommend filling it with a mixture of cheese, eggs and bacon!
CACHAPA: Similar to the traditional American pancake (much thicker than an English pancake), it is made from a puree of corn, sugar, salt and oil. It is normally then folded over with a large piece of a soft white cheese inside. It is sometimes served with cream and jam. It is traditionally served with breakfast or at "once" a snack with tea. Sometimes it is accompanied by a side of fried pork.
